Frequently asked questions.

  • I offer in-person and telehealth sessions using EMDR, Somatic / Sensorimotor therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and attachment-based approaches.

Combined, these approaches provide a comprehensive map to help clients find healing and change that lasts. My approach supports you to heal from trauma, overcome anxiety and depression, and navigate relationship challenges.

  • While my practice’s focus is LGBTQ+, non-monogamous, and therapist clients, I am comfortable and available to work with people outside these groups.

I strive to provide therapy for anyone seeking to grow, heal, and overcome their pasts.

I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, polyamorous and non-monogamous clients, trauma survivors, highly sensitive people, and other therapists seeking therapy.

I also work with clients who are cisgender, straight, and/or monogamous.

Provided you are an ally who supports non-monogamous and LGBTQ+ people and social movements, you are welcome here.

What matters most is your desire for growth, self-awareness, and healing - not your identity or relationship structure.

Getting Acquainted

  • I offer two session options: a 50-minute session at $200, and an 80-minute session at $300. Longer sessions are often helpful for EMDR and other trauma-focused work, but are not necessary.

My current rates reflect the depth of my training, licensure, my years of experience as a therapist in Colorado, and my level of specialization. They are aligned with the going rate for experienced, highly qualified, master’s-level clinicians in Denver and Boulder counties.

These rates help me sustain a small, values-driven practice where I can offer high-quality, personalized care to every client I work with. You deserve a therapist who is not burnt out from working with too many clients.

  • I’m a private-pay therapist, meaning I’m not paneled directly with insurance. I do this in order to provide you with the highest quality of care which is not restricted by the narrow definitions of what insurance companies deem “medically necessary”. You are a human being with a full spectrum of experiences, not a worker to simply be returned to basic functionality.

However, I provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
After insurance deductibles are met, clients save on average about 60% on therapy costs (based on Alma data).

My billing platform, Alma, is currently piloting a program that automatically submits superbills to insurance providers on your behalf — saving you time, energy, and the headache of coordinating with insurance.

  • Yes! I offer free 20-minute phone consultations. This gives us a chance to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and whether we feel like a good fit for the important work you are looking to do in therapy.

Finances

  • I see clients in person at two locations: one in the Arvada/Wheat Ridge area and another in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood. Many of my clients come from nearby communities like Golden, Lakewood, Edgewater, and the Highlands.

I also offer secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout Colorado.

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to establish momentum and safety. Over time, some transition to every other week as their symptoms decrease and stability increases.

We’ll collaborate on a rhythm that supports your healing and fits your life.

When we first start. I recommend a frequency of at least every other week so we have the opportunity to develop a strong and attuned therapeutic bond.

  • I see clients Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm, and offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. I will work to find openings that match your schedule.

Logistics

  • Therapy is deeply personal - it works best when there’s a sense of trust, safety, and mutual understanding. In our consultation call, you’ll get a feel for my approach and personality, and I’ll learn more about what you’re looking for. If it feels comfortable and aligned, we’ll move forward. If not, I’m always happy to offer referrals to help you find the right match.

  • I integrate several powerful, evidence-based modalities - including EMDR, Somatic and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and IFS-informed parts work - to create a deeply holistic approach to healing. Together, these methods help you move beyond symptom management and toward lasting transformation.

My clients often tell me they appreciate how grounded, collaborative, and nonjudgmental our sessions feel. I don’t just focus on reducing distress - I help you uncover and shift the underlying patterns that keep you stuck, so you can build a life that feels connected, present, and alive.

While I share this with humility, many clients - including therapists themselves - have told me that they’ve never worked with a therapist who brings the same combination of skill, depth, and compassion. They describe our work as transformative in ways they hadn’t experienced before.

I don’t share this to boast, but to reassure you that real healing is possible. You can feel better. You can experience relationships and a life that feel more alive, grounded, and free.

It would be my honor to help you get there.

  • While everyone’s process is unique, most clients start noticing shifts - more calm, clarity, or emotional relief - within a few months.

EMDR and somatic therapy are some of the most effective tools available in the therapy landscape, but deep healing takes time, especially when trauma or attachment wounds go back decades. Together, we’ll set realistic goals and move at a pace that feels both effective and sustainable for your nervous system.

Why Work With Me

  • Our first session is a space to slow down and get curious together. I’ll ask about your history, your goals for therapy, and what’s felt difficult or stuck. You’ll also get a clearer sense of how I work and what our process might look like. From there, we’ll begin creating a roadmap for your healing.

  • Every person’s story is unique. If you have questions about whether I’m the right fit for your needs, or how therapy might help in your specific circumstances, please reach out - I’m happy to discuss what might be most supportive for you.
